Tiger Giving Day has ended, but you can still give to the NPHC Legacy Plaza here.
Organizations affiliated with the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) have been on Auburn's campus since the chartering of the Sigma Delta chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in 1972. Since then, many more of these organizations have come to Auburn's campus and had a significant impact on the Auburn community.
However, there is no physical indication that these organizations exist.
This Tiger Giving Day, help us change that. Together, let's build the NPHC Legacy Plaza. The NPHC Legacy Plaza will be one of the first physical representations of the contribution of Black student organizations and serve as a space to cultivate the spirit of inclusion and diversity on Auburn's campus.
National Pan-Hellenic Council and the Student Government Association are partnering together to commemorate these organizations.
The NPHC Legacy Plaza will include a wall with ten commemorative markers—nine representing each of the NPHC chapters, and the tenth to explain the history of Auburn’s Black Greek letter organizations. The overall area borders an open lawn and a naturally landscaped terrace, enabling the space to serve as an outdoor venue for informal gatherings and events.
In the spirit of community, the space will be open to all Auburn students and student organizations.
Let's elevate the voices of our Black members of the Auburn Family and bring awareness to their experiences, accomplishments, and impact here at Auburn.
The NPHC Legacy Plaza will be complete by Fall 2021. Thank you for your support, and War Eagle!
