Plant Trees in New Equine Pasture

The Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine is home to lots of horses who help us train our future veterinarians. Our equine teaching herd has been assigned some new “office space” and it needs some, shall we say, furniture. The herd’s new field is very nice, but it currently has no shade. Doc has been appointed as the herd’s liaison and he would like us to help solve this problem.

Doc has asked if we could add some trees to their new field. It has lots of grass and a stream on one side, but no trees. And on hot Summer days, trees are necessary for Doc and his coworkers to have a place to escape the sun and cool off. Of course, since Doc is a true Auburn man, he would prefer oak trees.

Doc and his team never ask for much, so we are devoting this year’s Tiger Giving Day fundraiser to purchase them some trees. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to purchase five mature oak trees to give Doc and his team some much needed shade on their new field.

We hope you will consider donating to help us meet this need for our equine teaching herd. On behalf of Doc and all of the Vet Med horses, thank you and War Eagle!
