The Oaks Agency is Auburn University’s student-run public relations agency and is focused on providing strategic, effective, and specialized plans to its clients, which include small businesses, on-campus organizations, and non-profit organizations. Our agency is grounded in public relations knowledge gained through a combination of coursework and real experiences.
Funds raised would help The Oaks Agency secure laptops, website domains, dedicated space, subscription services for content scheduling, professional development conferences/seminars, and advertising materials.
The student-run agency is a business model that operates within an academic program. The agency replaces the old model of reading, listening to lectures and testing with the newer model of real-world clients, marketplace challenges, fast deadlines and students now being the ones answering the questions.
The Oaks Agency puts our PR students in the driver’s seat by empowering them to develop professional, client-ready work in a learning environment that pushes creative boundaries, encourages collaboration and refines leadership skills. The knowledge gained by these experiences well exceeds anything that can be done in the classroom setting alone.
