This Tiger Giving Day, help the Kreher Preserve and Nature Center (KPNC) maximize the functionality of its newest facility – the Pond Pavilion – slated for completion this Fall.
We are asking for funds to install clear, roll-up vinyl curtain walls that will surround the entire facility to protect our visitors from inclement and/or winter weather without detracting from the serene, natural setting.
Similar curtains, which are currently in use at the KPNC’s Main Pavilion, have significantly increased the number and quality of programs housed within, while minimizing cancellations despite the weather outside.
Having already garnered reservations, we anticipate the Pond Pavilion to be a highly desired space for children from area schools and childcare centers, community groups, and guests to engage in the KPNC’s renowned outdoor programming. Auburn University students will have a more secure base of operation to conduct field research and University clubs and organizations will be more comfortable and protected from the elements year-round.
The Kreher Preserve and Nature Center is a beloved outdoor attraction for visitors of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities within the Lee County, Alabama community and beyond. Its natural beauty, nature trails and outdoor programs offer a perfect setting for environmental education for all ages.
Your gift on Tiger Giving Day to outfit our Pond Pavilion with retractable, weather resistant curtains will allow the KPNC to offer consistent, comfortable accommodations for our ever-growing number of programs and participants within this fantastic new facility.
Thank you, and War Eagle!
