Simulation-based experiences allow nursing students to take what they learn in the classroom and apply it to a realistic clinical scenario. Simulation technology is an especially important teaching tool now, as on-site clinical opportunities for nursing students have been reduced by the pandemic.
This Tiger Giving Day, help the College of Nursing acquire five new pieces of equipment -- two birthing simulators to experience caring for an obstetrical patient, and three medication dispensing systems to mimic the equipment students will use in a clinical setting.
These simulators allow the College of Nursing to continue teaching at the highest level of nursing standards. The medication dispensing system will help prevent medication errors with the dual identification check.
Our students consistently graduate with high-quality, hands-on experience due to our exceptional faculty members, as well as the technologies we provide for them.
Help us prepare our future nurses! Thank you and War Eagle!
