Tiger Giving Day is over, but you can still give to the College of Sciences and Mathematics here.
Have you ever had something crucial to your productivity that consistently failed or didn’t work properly? Well, here in the College of Sciences and Mathematics (COSAM), our students can sympathize with you.
The Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) instrument used by undergraduate students in upper level chemistry labs is a vital piece of equipment in their learning process. Unfortunately, the current one is extremely unreliable and is no longer supported by the manufacturer.
We are asking for your help to raise $15,000 towards purchasing a new FTIR instrument. This necessary piece of equipment is vital in helping prepare our students.
This FTIR instrument allows students to study and examine solid, liquid and gaseous compounds found in the products of chemical reactions, various foods and beverages, and even plastic water bottles, containers and more.
The hands-on experience gained by students using this piece of equipment will have a profound impact not only their future careers, but in solving real-world, everyday problems. So, will you help make a difference today?
