Tiger Giving Day is over, but you can still give to the College of Liberal Arts here.
The Ethics Bowl is a competition between teams from different colleges and universities across the country. The teams are given a packet of ethical case studies to prepare, not knowing which of the cases will be chosen. At the competition, a team will defend an ethical position on a case, and a competing team will offer a counterargument.
Your gifts will go directly towards covering the costs of student travel for this event.
The Ethics Bowl fosters much of what we consider most important about philosophy—the ability to rationally discuss important moral issues, and the acquisition of logical and other critical reasoning skills.
The members of our team study the ethical cases in a class setting with Dr. Antonio Capuano, the team’s coach. The members receive course credit for their work, and so they pay tuition to be on the team. The culmination of this preparation is a regional event.
Thank you and War Eagle!
