Increase Rehabilitation Space for Injured Raptors

Our raptor rehabilitation program is at the core of the Auburn University Raptor Center’s mission to provide treatment for injured, ill, and orphaned birds of prey. Much like when we are injured or ill, these birds require a variety of housing types and sizes depending on their physical abilities and needs.

The Raptor Center is frequently strained for space, and we need to add additional enclosures to accommodate patients in our care.

We have developed a plan that will allow us to maximize donations to increase rehabilitation space in a timely and cost-effective manner. Strategically speaking, the addition of these enclosures is consistent with and in furtherance of our larger objective to remodel and expand our current facility.

Our project consists of the construction of a lightweight metal building that will create 6-10 new limited mobility enclosures for rehabilitating raptors. Located adjacent to our hospital building and limited mobility unit, which is currently under renovation, this new unit will more than triple our capacity.

Please consider giving to this essential program and help secure quality care for sick, injured, and orphaned raptors as well as a place for future students to learn and grow.
