National Prestigious Scholar Development

Housed in the Honors College, the National Prestigious Scholarship (NPS) program forever changes the lives of its student applicants. The NPS program individually guides top students from all academic disciplines through the rigorous application processes of prestigious scholarships such as the Rhodes, Fulbright, Truman, Gates Cambridge, Udall, Goldwater, National Science Foundation, Boren, Marshall, and Mitchell Scholarship.

The Honors College has a goal is to raise $25,000 in support of the NPS program. These funds will give our students the resources and the opportunities needed to be competitive and successful scholarship applicants.

Applying for one of these highly competitive scholarships involves much more than completing an application form. The NPS program provides support to students in the form of resume advice, personal statement preparation, mock interviews, etiquette dinners, and other tips from those experienced with the process.

From helping a student buy a suit for an interview, to giving a student a research or study abroad experience, these funds will allow students to not only remain competitive applicants, but also to help Auburn University increase its NPS success and merit nationwide.

The NPS program experience benefits students beyond prestigious scholarships. Even if student nominees do not receive an award, many go on to the graduate programs of their choice at prestigious graduate institutions such as Cambridge, Oxford, Stanford, and Harvard, to name a few.
