Digital methods and 3D printing are leading to innovations in the way apparel is designed, produced, and consumed. For Auburn students to remain competitive in today's work force, they need access to powerful 3D printers quite like the ones currently used in apparel brand development.
We're seeking to raise $12,000 for a 3D printer and $3,000 for supplies so Auburn students can become familiar with these new technologies.
As one of the country’s top ranked apparel programs, we must provide the latest technologies for Auburn apparel students to experience before entering the workforce. Understanding the practical applications of 3D printing in the design and manufacturing of apparel is integral in support of the 3D printing future and to ensure top apparel brands continue to seek Auburn students as interns and graduates as full-time employees.
