Help Raise a Hero
Last year on Tiger Giving Day you met Rapunzel, a remarkable puppy from Auburn University’s Canine Performance Sciences Program. Rapunzel has “the right stuff” to track down everything from explosives in public places to pythons in the Everglades.
Thoughtful donors like you gave Rapunzel and all of our dogs a wonderful obstacle course for training. Now, young detector dogs learn how to navigate challenging scenarios here at home so when they go to work, they are prepared keep you safe. Puppies like Rapunzel, once grown and fully trained, work for the NYPD, Amtrak, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, & Firearms, the Atlanta airport, Major League Baseball stadiums, NBA arenas, and Disney, just to name a few.
And every dog starts here, as a puppy with his or her mother. This year, we’d like to introduce you to Flair. She is one of the outstanding moms here at Auburn. Our veterinarians keep a close eye on these canine moms throughout their pregnancies. After all, they take care of us, so we want to take the best possible care of them.
That’s where you come in.
We are committed to providing our dogs with highest-quality delivery facilities—facilities that are comparable to the high-quality healthcare and training they receive, and you can help. Your gift will create top-notch accommodations for expectant mothers like Flair, as well as a state-of-the-art nursery for puppies to better enable us to monitor and secure the health of future generations of world-class detection dogs. You can make sure these little guys get the best possible start in life, because when it comes right down to it, man’s best friend is also man’s best defense.

Thank you in advance, for helping to raise a hero!
