Plainsmen's Prep helps incoming students succeed in their first year at Auburn University and we want to offset program fees — $200 per student — for those with financial need. Our goal is to provide program fee waivers for 10 students, ensuring they can participate in the 10-day experience.
The Plainsmen's Prep program is ideal for first-year students pursuing majors that require a substantial amount of mathematics courses.
In an effort to support timely graduation, Plainsmen’s Prep offers students a path to begin college in the math course required for their major, bypassing prerequisite courses.
By participating, students will have the opportunity to review precalculus and calculus concepts needed to be successful in their courses. Additionally, participants will gain exposure to campus resources, hear from upperclassmen on student success strategies, and connect with peers.
The program is designed to acclimate students to the rigors of Auburn University academics, familiarize them with the campus, and build community with other students. Participants interact with faculty, staff, and other undergraduate students to help aid in their transition to college life and support a successful start at Auburn.
