Thanks to you, the School of Forestry & Wildlife Sciences was successful in raising the funds needed to provide birding habitats at the Kreher Preserve and Nature Center, which:
·Extend KPNC’s capability and resources as a site on the Alabama Birding Trail
·Contribute to the conservation of birds like the Purple Martins in North America
·Provide nesting boxes for bluebirds, screech owls, barred owls and other avian species
·Increase the biodiversity and numbers of species of birds breeding and nesting at the preserve
·Provide a viewing area for monitoring bird behavior
·Educate people of all ages about birds, habitats, nesting, eggs, chicks, migration and other behavioral aspects of birds
The SFWS raised $6,150, surpassing the original goal by 202 percent within 24 hours. Thank you for being one of our 72 donors that made this campaign successful.
We are so excited that we have already met our goal for Tiger Giving Day! Thank you to all who have donated! You have ensured that Birding at the KPNC will truly be launched into flight!!
But don’t stop now—every gift you make will enhance our birding programs even more. Your continued support will help us create additional educational and interpretational signage, high-quality bird houses for even more species, forest management initiatives for quail habitat, nesting platforms for birds of prey, identification guides, and much, much more!!
Enhance the educational experience of school groups and other visitors to view birds from a distance.
