Growing Food Sustainably by Students, for Students

The College of Agriculture and Auburn University Campus Dining have a partnership to offer students fresh, locally grown foods. We plan to grow this food in hydroponic container garden facilities to be installed on campus.

These high-tech vertical farms will offer fresh vegetables and fruits for campus dining facilities year-around. The gardens will also grow about 500 percent more produce than a traditional outdoor garden of the same size.

However, before these vertical farms are installed, we must have funding in place for Auburn student employees to maintain them on a day-to-day, week-to-week basis.

Your gifts will enable these students to gain hands-on professional training and experience within state-of-the-art hydroponic facilities – all while helping serve their peers fresh, locally sourced produce.
