Tiger Giving Day is over, but you can still give to the College of Architecture, Design and Construction here.
Shoe Design Workshop is geared toward underrepresented students in Alabama high schools. It gives students the opportunity to experience design education while using a shoe as the medium.
The workshop asks students to research hypothetical clients and teaches how to create a visual brand strategy through the design of a tennis shoe for that client.
Traditionally, these students produce a two-dimensional concept of their shoe design. Reaching $6,000 this Tiger Giving Day goal will allow thirty students in one workshop to not only produce concepts, but also create prototypes to keep.
As we exceed our goal, more students can attend. Imagine a high schooler not only designing a pair of sneakers but also getting to take them home!
