Tiger Giving Day is over, but you can still give to Auburn Outreach here.
Global Community Day Festival is hosted by the Outreach Global Office and showcases Auburn University and the surrounding communities' diverse population, enhancing unity and creating space for multicultural learning and teaching, encouraging dialogue and understanding of all communities.
Funds raised will help underwrite hosting expenses and entertainment (last year's festival headliner included “Korean Idol”-winners MUST-B), provide transportation for international student performers, and provide educational materials for Festival attendees. Additional funding will help provide meals for student- and community-member volunteers and marketing costs.
Global Community Day promotes global cultural awareness, enhances diversity and promotes multicultural learning and understanding. It also engages community and business leaders, student clubs and organizations, as well as governmental and trade organizations.
Activities include an international fair showcasing products and services from across the globe. The festival will present internationally focused and family-friendly activities such as games, sports and music, a fashion exhibition and an around-the-world food and beverage tasting.
Thank you and War Eagle!
