Tiger Giving Day is over, but you can still give to the Kreher Preserve and Nature Center here.
The Kreher Preserve and Nature Center (KPNC) is a beloved outdoor attraction for visitors of all ages, backgrounds and abilities within the Lee County, Ala. community and beyond.
The Nature Playground is a favorite stop for children and parents alike, and serves as the central hub for many of our most popular nature-based programs, including Woodland Wonders Nature Preschool, Nature Babies and summer camps. For over 10 years, it has hosted more than 35,000 visitors annually.
Now, the Nature Playground needs refurbishment and enhancement to make the visitor experience even better!
Consider supporting our Tiger Giving Day project, which will enable us to repair and refurbish all equipment, stations and structures within the Nature Playground, including the eagle’s nest, tree house, beaver lodge, swings, sand box and burrow.
New climbing logs will be installed and the playground will be expanded by 30%, adding more stations for engagement, learning, and connecting to nature.
By meeting our project goal, we will continue to engage thousands of individuals in the community, as well as programs and classes across all Auburn University units.
Area schools will take advantage of the resource through field trips, and other community partners will join the KPNC for bigger and better community events that get people connected to nature, to the College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment, and to Auburn University!
