Pharmacy Summer Camp
The Harrison School of Pharmacy's goal is to bring better healthcare to everyone, and you can partner with us to further this goal by helping high school students gain early pharmacy skills at a Pharmacy Summer Camp.
In Alabama, pharmacists are often the closest healthcare providers to the majority of people living in rural areas. With your support, we can make a difference in the life of a future pharmacist, who will ultimately make a difference in their communities, including rural and underserved communities throughout the state.
There is no better way to prepare someone for the pharmacy profession than through hands-on experiences. The Harrison School of Pharmacy will host its first-ever Pharmacy Summer Camp this June. The camp is for rising 11th- and 12th-grade high school students and our goal is to inspire these students to one day provide the best care possible to their patients.
Your gifts will be used to give these students the opportunity to experience the different practice settings of a pharmacy career. They will learn the essentials of pharmacy through hands-on lab experiences, small group activities, and site visits with experienced retail and hospital pharmacists. All of these experiences will build the foundation for an overall better prepared pharmacy student.
We want any student to have the opportunity to experience this camp. Your support will help make this happen for anyone who desires a closer look into the amazing field of pharmacy.
Please support the students who want to better their communities’ healthcare.
